House Democrats are taking the budget battle to the Internet.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee bought the Internet site name "GOPshutdown.com" Monday, according to web registration records, The Hill reports.
The DCCC hasn't launched the site yet, but given the name, it's likely to focus on Democratic arguments that Republicans are responsible for the government shutdown.
Perhaps the GOP will have an online rebuttal. The domain name "obamashutdown.com" also was registered Monday, according to The Hill. It doesn't say who registered the name.
Much of the government closed Tuesday morning after the House and Senate were unable to reach agreement on a budget.
It's unclear when Democrats and Republicans will begin negotiating to solve the impasse.
