Chris Kyle knew guns in a way no modern American ever has.
As a Navy SEAL sniper, he recorded 255 kills on the battlefield during four deployments to Iraq.
His skill with a rifle is unmatched by any combat marksman since the Second World War. He was praised as America’s deadliest sniper ever. Iraqi insurgents loathed and feared him, putting an $80,00 bounty on his head and labeling him ‘the Devil of Ramadi.’
His experience as a highly decorated member of the elite SEALTeam Three also made him a student of firearms history.
After he retired from the military, he began researching the firearms that shaped American history.
