Try this and report back.

http://www.vipbox.tv/sports/rugby.html

I like Formula 1 racing, and somebody gave me that site, for live streaming of sports events.

I want to know if, and how well it works for you.

If you have cable/satellite, see if they have Fuel TV. They have the rights to the Super League and they carry one game a week.

As far as Internet goes, I know the BBC carries radio play-by-play on 5 Live, and they stream on the Internet. If all else fails, try them.

I'm just starting to follow it; I've seen plenty of rugby union but only until Fuel started carrying it did I ever get to see rugby league. For those of you unfamiliar with it, think of a game of football without the forward pass, no pads, no blocking, no first downs, and a pace so fast and frenetic that snaps (done with the heel, not the hand) are almost immediate. It is enjoyable and it has an improvised, spontaneous feel to it. Lots of laterals and hard driving running. I love it, even more than rugby union, where the after-the-tackle is more of a muddled mess.

Most of the teams are based in northern England (Manchester and such). There's a team in London and one in Catalonia. There are also leagues in Australia that are of very high caliber.

I also watched it on BBC America. i.e. the 6 nations tournament.
