My prediction. I won't watch it nor care very much who wins what. Little more than a Liberal self-congratulatory gabfest

"Time" magazine, in an unusual moment of lucidity, once called the Oscars "Hollywood's annual revenge on TV".

Oh I won't watch either; haven't since 1994.

Haven't see many movies this past year...except Silver Linings Playbook.

Even though Bradley Cooper filled the screen...when you're going up against Daniel Day-Lewis....well, ya better bring a Snickers, cause you're going to be awhile!  LOL!

Here I am making predictions and I haven't seen anything but trailers.   LOL!

Ann Hathaway for Les Miserables.  She emaciated herself for that role.  Similar to DeNiro gaining 40 lbs for Raging Bull.

But like Cincy says....who the hell cares?

I have to go somewhere tonight, but I will tape and watch without commercials.  I grew up on movies and I enjoy movies..  I try and put their political leanings to the side for most (I do have some I will not spend a red cent to see like Glover) and just enjoy the two hours.

Best Picture: Argo

Best Actor in a Leading Role: Daniel Day-Lewis

Best Actress in a Leading Role: Jennifer Lawrence

Best Director: Either Silver Linings Playbook

My choices:

Best Picture:  Silver Linings Playbook

Best Actor in a Leading Role: Daniel Day-Lewis

Best Actress in a Leading Role:  Jennifer Lawrence

Best Director:  David O. Russell

I think Lincoln was good, but they lied about some important historical facts - like how Connecticut REALLY voted... I don't think purposely changing history deserves reward.  That said Danie Day-Lewis WAS Lincoln...   Silver Linings Playbook was outstanding and shone a deserved light on Bi-polar disorders.

The cameras caught Kerry Washington jumping up and down pulling her strapless dress up before she went out to walk the carpet.
