The images of this thing were amazing - including the fact that there are so many cameras being operated on a routine basis that they were able to capture this thing.  On the other hand, it's a good thing something like this never happened during the 1980s; it could very well have triggered a Soviet nuclear attack on the US in retaliation for an apparent US strike.

The images of this thing were amazing - including the fact that there are so many cameras being operated on a routine basis that they were able to capture this thing.  On the other hand, it's a good thing something like this never happened during the 1980s; it could very well have triggered a Soviet nuclear attack on the US in retaliation for an apparent US strike.

There were an abundance of videos because, as I read today, most Russian drivers use dash cams for documentation in case of an accident--apparently there are MANY traffic accidents in Russia due to drunk driving, etc.  I also wondered "why are there so many dash cams"?  This whole day has been very strange.

The funny thing is a lot of this is due to the corruption of the police in Russia. A lot of people have cameras set up in their car to prevent shake-downs by the police.
