As far as I am concerned, the tribalist populations in America have a vested interest in the fall of the republic (already most feel.they are above the law) and its transformation into a welfare state where they always get first in line.

To name the Redskins team (especially one that was all-white the first 30 years of its existence until it was forced to hire black players) after them is an insult to the team.

I don't know about "Redskins," but I always considered team names like "Warriors," "Seminoles," "Mohigans" and the like a tribute to the character, bravery and fighting spirit of the American Indian.

The sad thing is that once noble and self-sufficient people have permitted themselves to become slaves of government largesse, as jmyrle referenced.
“My god! How little do my countrymen know what precious blessings they are in possession of, and which no other people on earth enjoy? I confess I had no idea of it myself.” Jefferson writing to Madison on America in 1785 while in Paris.

The stupid liberals have been whining about the Redskins' name for years.

DC did already do one PC name change.  The NBA team that played there when I lived in the area as a teenager was the Washington Bullets.  Sometime in the 90s (or was it late 80s?) they changed it to the Washington Wizards, thinking "Bullets" had negative connotations due to DC's high murder rate.

I don't think changing the basketball team's name had even the slightest impact on the murder rate.

But, I guess it made some liberals feel all warm and fuzzy.
Don not wait to. There was not the shadow of the wall and another shade of eye gaze, we don not go Nvragr not find the light went shadow Nnvr.

So let me get this straight.

Redskins = Bad thing to say.
Rednecks = Descriptive.
