That is one bold bird....not to mention powerful!  He actually got that baby a good 3 feet off the ground!

Exactly.  I am also amazed at the very low-key "oh shit" response by the cameraman.

But is the video real?   There is some discussion on the Blaze that this may be another cleaver fake.

Golden Eagles have been documented taking lambs and kids.

Sure fooled me, because it looked real and is plausible to boot...

I thought it was plausible.

I was on a beach once, grilling fairly large steaks, when a seagull swooped down and tried to carry one off.  He got it about 2 feet off the grill before dropping it back because he couldn't handle it.  If a seagull could do that, I figured an eagle could lift a newborn off the ground.

Video is becoming less and less evidence all the time. Seen a story about a smart phone ap that ads a very real looking UFO in any video you shoot.

That's a pretty good cgi video.  My guess is it was the sharpness of the eagle's shadow, as compared to the more blurry shadows of the real objects, including the parent, the stroller, and the large white thing in the background, that gave someone with really sharp eyes a clue that it wasn't real.  That being said, this is a good cgi; for people who are still students they managed quite well.
