It would be very difficult if not impossible to make a sequel or prequel that would be accepted by even the most fanatic fans of the 1939 Wizard of Oz.   They may have done the impossible with this one. The trailer looks very promising.

That's my hope too...but as always, we could be seeing the very best bits in the trailers...that has happened far too often, and I hope that isn't true here.

I'd go into it with eyes wide open, knowing that nothing ever will compare to the 1939 Oz.

yah...this will be worth catching on the big screen.

I'm hearing rumblings from the Brits about "The Hobbit", which already premiered in Britain.  The one quote that stuck was "As a movie lover I was bored to death and as a Tolkien fan I was appalled".  Not such stunning reviews for the first installment of the Peter Jackson Hobbit trilogy....
