Okay, I'll admit that Ryan was not my first pick for VP.  But Romney showed real genius in choosing him!  Absolutely brilliant choice!  Paul Ryan pretty much locks up a 16 year presidential term for the GOP if Romney wins.

However, if one takes this fact into account and adjusts for it accordingly, then one may be able to take advantage of his propensities, or to at least defang him.  Something like political judo.

I think you are right.  Ryan has been around the block enough to know Biden, I'm extremely interested to see how he handles him.

My friend at work said "This should be on Pay per View."

I agree that Biden shouldn't be underestimated as a debater and his ability to spout lies.  But I'll say Ryan is smart, and the numbers guy that he is can debunk them on the fly.  If Ryan can get on the offensive and keep Biden on the defensive it could be interesting.

As am I.  There was a story out yesterday, I think, about Ryan walking out on a reporter who started trying to blindside him, saying the interview was done with.  That is how you handle someone like that:  just shut 'em down; you don't gamely try to keep on pretending that it's a real interview any more.

When Ryan did that, he showed that he isn't concerned with how the media treats him - unlike the spineless ones in the GOP.  He is showing confidence, maturity, and LEADERSHIP.  I am impressed!

Yet Bill O'Reilly just trashed Ryan for doing that yesterday.

Repubs and Dems in the house have said in the past and recently, that Ryan is the last person they want to have to debate!

And it seems in the big moments, Ryan is unflappable.  If he stays calm, deliberate and on message... he wins.  Joe will be looking for a swimming pool to do a cannonball.
For the progressive, there is very little to love about the United States. Washington, Jefferson, Madison? A bunch of rotten slaveholders, hypocrites, and cowards even when their hearts were in the right places. The Declaration of Independence? A manifesto for the propertied classes. The Constitution? An artifact of sexism and white supremacy. The sacrifices in the great wars of the 20th century? Feeding the poor and the disenfranchised into the meat-grinder of imperialism. The gifts of Carnegie, Rockefeller, Vanderbilt, Morgan, Astor? Blood money from self-aggrandizing robber barons. Nat Rev

That really disappoints me.

Haven't you figured out yet that Bill's ONLY interest is lining BILL'S pockets?  He's making a TON of money and laughing all the way to the bank!

OK, as long as I'm on Fox shows, is there a bigger freaking retard on the air than Sean Hannity???  David Limbaugh was just on, ripping Obama a new one-beautifully outlining the Libya cover up, and what does Einstein come back with?  Obama eating the dog!

It really gets annoying when Hannity's guests constantly have to re-direct him back to topics of relevance and importance.  It happens a lot.
