Obamas's 20th wedding anniversary is on debate night

Barack and Michelle Obama will have been married exactly 20 years on Wednesday.

But any celebration will have to wait, because that's the night of the first presidential debate between Obama and Mitt Romney.

In a new campaign email, senior strategist David Axelrod asks Obama supporters to wish the first couple well:

Quote

I suppose you can't plan everything -- even when you're president of the United States.

But there's something we can all do to help send them off into the last month of this election feeling good:

Add your name and well-wishes to a 20th anniversary card for Barack and Michelle.

This race will be close until the very end, and Wednesday will be an important day for the campaign.

But let's take a moment to show Barack and Michelle that we wish them well in life, not just in politics.

Well, he could always skip the debate and spend the evening with the wookie - then again, maybe that's why he didn't object when the debate was scheduled for his anniversary.
