Why don't we start giving the Afghans insensitivity training?  Why is it medieval cultures are so touchy?  No wonder it was called the Dark Ages when Christianity went through the same sort of nonsense.

Their utterly irrational response to the slightest insult, real or imagined, is their own doing. We do not cause it, and we shouldn't act like it justifies their outrageous and violent acts.

The Afghans have found that they can play the American commanders, and they do it well. Americans go into an area with this "Good Old Boy" attitude. They think that the Afghans will respect a handshake, or will keep a promise. It isn't so. The Afghani will do what is advantageous to himself, period. They are NOT our friends.

These deaths are the result of the Clintonesque political correctness BS that has permeated the military. Any commander who is afraid to take action because his "buddy" the Afghani may be insulted  needs to be dismissed.

I wonder when the lies will stop and truth begin, even as grim as the truth may be. And then I remember that for 70 years, the reign of terror in Russia called itself "the people's government." We have so far to fall, yet we are falling fast and Hell yawns to receive us.
