I hope the original author of that image doesn't mind (too much), but I just had to clean it up a bit - jpeg compression makes such a hash out of colours - and I monkeyed a little bit with the color tones:
Of course, after I whetted my appetite, I just couldn't stay away from adding one of my favorite little details - the drop shadow:
Saving an image as a png instead of as a compressed jpg is just a much better way to go. If you need to save a bit of space on the png image, just save with one level of compression (png generally offers up to 9 levels of compression, but you usually get the best bang for the buck - a smaller image file without messing up the image - with the first level of compression).
This'd also look good as one of those trendy new 3-D'ish button type images, with the glassy effect. I wonder if I've enough time this AM to work that up?
