The Comeback Cabinet
« on: August 17, 2012, 04:30:05 am »
Let's play a game.

Let's assume a Romney/Ryan victory in November...not as difficult a notion as it was even a week ago.

An Administration is a team, and President Romney's and Vice-President Ryan's first order of business will be to assemble their cabinet...who do you think should make up that team?

Here are the Cabinet posts that will need to be filled:

  • Secretary of State
  • Secretary of The Treasury
  • Secretary of Defense
  • Attorney General
  • Secretary of the Interior
  • Secretary of Agriculture
  • Secretary of Commerce
  • Secretary of Labor
  • Secretary of Health and Human Services
  • Secretary of Housing and Urban Development
  • Secretary of Transportation
  • Secretary of Energy
  • Secretary of Education
  • Secretary of Veterans Affairs
  • Secretary of Homeland Security

Here's how I'd like to do this:

Send me your nominations via PM...you don't have to nominate an individual for every post, but give it some thought.

After a week or so, I'll begin the polling for each cabinet position.

Obviously, there will be flaws, and I am sure that you will all help me catch them.

Let's pick America's Comeback Cabinet!

Definitely Bolton for Secretary of State

Definitely Rudy for Homeland Security

Definitely Palin for Secretary of Energy (let's face no one knows energy in the party better than her)

And Donald Trump wants Commerce and I think he would be excellent

Just do not name an environmentalist or environmentalist leaner for Interior!!!!!!!

THE most important appointment:  Department of Defense

This should NOT be David Petraeus.  But Allen West.
Petraeus is the author and implementer of the FAILed COIN stragegy.  He is currently doing Nothing about the slaughter of our men by Afghan "friendlies".  Think about what your choices are, please.

Trump is today, and has always been, all about making money for Trump...which is fine, in the private sector.

That scares me.

I like Meg Whitman for Commerce.

You want to make a statement heard around the world and in every Muslim nation?

Make Joe Lieberman either Secretary of State, or Defense.

Shocking and out of left field, but very a very eloquent message.

I nominate Steve Forbes for Secretary of the Treasury and Rick Santelli for Fed Chief.  I'd get rid of the Department of Commerce.  Agree with Bolton for Secretary of State.  Bring Homeland Security under the Department of Justice and make Rudy Giuliani the Attorney General.  Agree with West for Defense.  Get rid of all the other departments and cabinet posts.

Interesting but, can't go with any RAT. Yeah, I know, he's good on defense but he's still a RAT and I just don't trust him when the chips are down. Hell, I don't even trust most of the pubbies, including the guy running for prez.
Now, Alan West, that's a statement.

I'll add to my AG Choices:

State AG's Ken Cuccinelli of my great state of Virginia, and Pam Bondi of Florida for their constitutional conservatism and leading the charge against Obamacare.

Bondi earns bonus points for being pretty hot.

I trust Lieberman more than I trust about a third of third of the GOP.

Muslims would SCREAM with Joe in Defense and Patreus in State.

It would be like a declaration of war.

Can't argue with that but I assume we are talking about picking from the top 10%.

As to the "send the muzzies a message", I've got other ideas on that.
