I used to say this at the FR and took a lot of flack for it, but here goes ...
The CDC put out a report that greater than 1 in 10 pet owners are infected wtih their pets parasites, roundworm, hookworm, toxocariasis, and other things you'd dare not think about it. The numbers go up drastically if you let them on or sleep in your bed.
The amount of pets in America has skyrocketed, in fact, it's literally out of control. The amount of people infected with parasites in America is in the 10's of millions and there are only a handful of parasitologists in America, and most are completely ignorant. Call your doctor and tell him you think you have parasites, that you even seem them in your stool and the first thing he'll ask you is what countries have you been too, a parasitologist will ask the same thing, yet the CDC has the numbers of Americans infected in the 10's of millions. A lot of illness is causes by this but goes undiscovered and people simply die.
Drugs like Abilify (Aripazole) are anti-parasiticals, just like all other azoles, Fenbendazole, Menbendazole, Albendazole and so on. That is why the side effects listed for Abilify (used to treat depression) are exactly the same as anti-parasiticals. One wonders what they truly know vs what they are willing to let the American public know.
Letting dogs and cats sleep in your bed? I think not, especially if you have children.
