As long as we're piling on:

"A man's face is his biography. A woman's face is her work of fiction." - Oscar Wilde

Far be it for me to be "catty", but is that a hint of a 'stash Marianne's got going on there?

So we're down to an unreliable Progressive with a stellar personal life, and an unreliable conservative who treats women he loves like dirt.

Obama's going to kill whichever one is the sacrificial lamb.

Don't be so pessimistic, sink.  There's always the chance Obama's singing at the Apollo Theater in Harlem last night gets him a recording contract and he resigns his office and goes to Hollywood to make records.

Now tell me.  Which of the candidates can't beat Joe Biden, the dumbest vice president in history?  You see there's always hope.

In all seriousness, and with all due respect, you're wrong, sink.  I feel confident that if Romney is the nominee he can

beat Obama like a rented mule.  Just my often wrong, but in this case, correct opinion.

Somehow I think if they had fixed her up a bit they might have drawn more sympathy....

This morning my wife said she is voting Romney.

She is Italian American Catholic, and says Mormons walk the walk, on family values.

She has stayed consistent about this for months.

Sympathy?  If anything, the interview cemented opinions of Gingrich and may have turned some who were on the fence.

Let's face it, Newt's a first-class womanizer.  The only reason Calista may be the last (MAY be the last) is because the old fool can't take enough Viagra to go after anybody else.

She's right.  Mitt is an exemplary family man.

An exemplary family man whose political views are those of a moderate Democrat.

Which is why family behaviour is no reliable guide to political behaviour.

Yep, all accounts say Obama is a good family man.......... I'm not necessarily buying it, but that is the party line.

Except that Newt is a big-government conservative who wants to replace the EPA with a "green" EPA.  He's got all kinds of other grandiose ideas, none of which involve devolving the size of government.

I just responded about the article title, and gave what my wife said.

She's not a political junkie, but will vote Republican.

If forced to watch a debate, and read online arguments from the political junkies, she'd still pick Romney in the primary and the general election.

As such, I have to say she's fairly mainstream, and typical of the depth many go into such things.

You've mentioned Viagra on other posts, as well. Do you have any evidence Newt takes it?  If not, it's just a juvenile remark.

Unfortunately, neither of the likely nominees has a good small-government pedigree.  Grandiosity appears to be a common affliction, although it manifests in different ways.

Let's say you're right.  Both candidates begin at the same starting point.  Equally unacceptable to conservatives of all stripes.

If forced to, which candidate do you believe you could successfully defend against the DNC:

Mitt Romney, family man, successful in business, former governor.  Cautious, judicious, temperate.  Has never played the Washington cocktail circuit, nor took taxpayer money.

Newt Gingrich, twice divorced, admitted cheating on wives, forced from congress because of questions of ethics, former legislator.  Bold, intemperate, grandiose.  Washington insider who cashed in on taxpayer's dime as a lobbyist for the hated Freddie Mac.

Your call.

No, AC, that would be YOUR call, since you chose all nicey-nice adjectives to describe Romney, and all unflattering ones to describe Gingrich.  Blatant bias.

Neither is perfect, they both have good and bad attributes.

You're saying that is not the narrative currently playing?

I invite you then to frame it in 'unbiased' terms.  Go ahead.  Prove me wrong.  Because I believe my characterization is accurate.

Nah.  I'm not into internet step 'n fetchit.  Suffice it to say that they both have good and bad characteristics, something you chose not to illustrate.
