PENSACOLA, Fla. (WEAR) — A lawsuit over earplugs manufactured for the U.S. Army can move forward.

A federal judge in Pensacola dismissed 3M's claims that they were working from a design mandated by the Army.

Judge Casey Rodgers said 3M did not produce a contract forbidding them from warning about the earplugs' risk.

Part of my work aboard an aircraft carrier was to make weather observations.  This was immediately above the navigation bridge and directly behind the starboard catapult.  Back in the early 70s, ideas of noise suppression were unheard of (pun intended) and today my hearing suffers because of it.  If those suppressors don't work and people suffer hearing damage, the Navy owes them for the damage. :patriot:
