ISIS suicide attack targets Kurdish-US convoy in Syria's Hasakah

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – An Islamic State suicide car bomb attack in northeastern Syria on Monday targeted a joint patrol of the country’s Kurdish-led forces and US-led coalition troops.

The outcome of the incident “was limited to material losses only,” the US-backed Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said in a statement, rejecting initial reports of casualties.

The incident took place near the town of Shaddadi in Hasakah province, according to the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which reported earlier that five members of the SDF were killed.
