Dem Lawmakers Push for $15 Minimum Wage Will Have Disastrous Consequences

House Democrats are looking to double the minimum wage, with little eye to the consequences.

Led by Virginia Democrat Bobby Scott, House Democrats introduced the Raise the Wage Act, which would more than double the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $15 per hour by the year 2024.

Democratic lawmakers have long been in favor of a higher minimum wage, but few have gone so far as to call for doubling it. Until now.

Gee, Aunty Maxine just introduced a bill of $13.2 Billion for eliminating homelessness; I suppose these two bills being introduced at the same time was just a cooincidence .  That money won't be nearly sufficient to cover all the homeless after the $15/hr. Schtick goes through.  This will work every bit as well as the war on poverty expecially when millions more illegals are added to the mix.

We're heading full blast for an egalitarian/socialist society.  Liberals now believe every job should provide a living wage despite the fact that only four percent of workers make minimum wage.
Many workers will have no incentive to strive for something better if they can subsist on fifteen dollars an hour. And numerous businesses will be destroyed or never start up.

I wish I could laugh along with you, but I can't.

Just saw a headline on Drudge this morning, that "generation z" is more liberal/leftist than any preceding it.

I sense that "communism, American-style" is comin' down the pike.
Perhaps within 20 years.

And it will happen because those who implement it were VOTED into office by a majority of "American voters".

That's my prediction and I'm stickin' to it!
