Nah............ because he cheats, he's mean, he's foul, and he dresses like a homeless man.  wink777

I have a complicated relationship with Belichick.

He has shown he's human. The '90s Browns, for example. He's a brilliant football mind, but it's only the combination of him with Brady that has made him the juggernaut he is today. His teams would still be very good without Brady, but beatable.

Brady's the one that raises my suspicions. It just reminds me of Lance Armstrong during his Tour de France days. Back then everyone thought he was simply the greatest racer in the history of cycling. It turned out that he, and Floyd Landis after him, had taken part in a massive doping and evasion scheme. I mean, you don't go 19 years in a sport this brutal and still have the same success, year in and year out, the way Tom Brady has. He's never had a losing season. He's only missed the playoffs once, and that was way back in 2002 (when they went 9-7). The second-longest playoff drought in the Super Bowl era, behind only the first 20 years of the Saints' existence, was in Brady's division (and amazingly, that team, the Bills, in all 17 years, never had a first-overall draft pick, so you can't say it was entirely sheer incompetence). This is despite everything around Brady changing and the team never having high draft picks.

The other guy I'm not particularly fond of is their owner, Bob Kraft. Back in the late 1980s, when the original owner Billy Sullivan went bankrupt, Kraft couldn't get his hand on the team, so he bought their (woefully inadequate) stadium and told them they couldn't leave. So, the guy who did buy the team, Victor Kiam, couldn't do anything with it... then sold it to James Orthwein, who likewise couldn't get out of the lease... before Kraft, in his master plan, launched the hostile takeover. All the cheating starts at the top.

I hear you, Myrle.

But if I remember correctly, Brady was accused of having improperly inflated footballs in his possession.  He was not accused of having had time to deflate them.  Following the accusation, some news group conducted a test to see if deflated footballs would be easier or harder to catch.  The results did not show that there was any advantage to their being deflated.  I think they were harder to throw though.

I was ambivalent about Armstrong too.  The doping was taking in red blood cells that had been previously removed and saved so that he had a higher RBC count than he would have had otherwise.  It was also done by other racers - most, if not all apparently.  Sounds icky, but I thought the reaction was way overboard.

Don't want to get into an extended argument about something so meaningless, but the fact that he has cheated is indisputable.  The fact that he's foul mouthed and has the temperament of an angry child is also obvious to anyone who watches him screech and throw things on the sidelines.

But I'm glad that you agree that he's a rotten dresser.

It's always good to find common ground.

Actually I have more problem with the sports announcers goofy man-crushes on Brady than the sour personality of Belichik.

I thought Tony Romo was going to start drooling all over his microphone yesterday, his Brady worship was so over the top.

Why aren't these 'men' embarrassed by their crushes on a guy who throws a football for a living??   :tongue2:

Does @RoosGirl know you've usurped her role as instigator of male hottie pics?

Well then why don't we just do the "Fair" thing and reward the Lombardi Trophy to the least fortunate teams, and just give it to the Detroit Lions, because they've never even been in a Super Bowl.

My vote would be for the Cleveland Browns.  happy77

If you are asking that we become NFL officials I'll listen. The NFL could use some fair officializating.

It isn't the boss.

I went in to go over some of the work comp details with him about my eye injury. Talked about how things stand as far as work goes. The restoration people will hopefully have the back half of the shop restored this week. He has three people working. I told him I could withstand at least another month out financially. So I'll step aside for the others.

The problem is with the two different insurance companies. It is getting really really ugly. I need to be on the same page with the boss there. I've talked to them--insurance people.  Now, not another word too them. I will say there is a LOT of finger...ummm...gesturing.

I just had an event that involved a couple of ER visits, hospital stay and multiple specialists.  Messy situation.  So far, the insurance company is doing OK.  We'll see how it shakes out.
