When the military picks the judges, jurors, prosecutor and defense counsel, what can possibly go wrong?
We continue to publish one story after another about how the military’s judicial system is terribly rigged in favor of protecting the military against anyone who is perceived as a threat. The military judicial system is, by design, easily manipulated by military commanders to produce a desired result.
Of course, the military judicial system enables the military commanders to remove criminals, but it also enables commanders to punish military whistle-blowers who expose, or attempt to expose embarrassing truths and report fraud and misappropriation.
On the other side of the coin, the military judicial system allows the guilty to go free. Flag-ranking officers (admirals and generals) are allowed to retire to avoid prosecution for their criminal and unethical misconduct. AS A SIDE NOTE: the Navy quietly allowed Admiral Crawford to retire a few months ago to avoid prosecution for attempting to railroad a Navy Seal into prison.
