Sens. Tom Cotton and John Boozman lined up on the right side of a vote Tuesday and let's give credit where due for their opposition to Donald Trump's desire to  help a Russian oligarch.

Cotton and Boozman were among 11 Senate Republicans who joined Democrats in support of a resolution to continue sanctions against businesses related to Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska.  Trump's Treasury secretary has been lobbying to lift the sanctions.

The sanctions are good.  Cotton and Boozman voted "yea" as did Sasse. I think the "yea" vote was the way one wanted to go, again, to keep the sanctions up on one specific oligarch.

Paul, Ernst voted "nay".

Marco Rubio and a number of other Republicans voted "no" or "nay" on this, Rubio explains:

Voted against Russia sanctions deal yesterday b/c Deripaska loses stock, but not control.

He keeps 35% of the voting shares, Putin’s bank has 7.35% & company with a long history of corruption & of partnering with Deripaska has 10.55%.

And Russia corp boards have little power.

So, there is some sense in voting against this I suppose.
