A number of Senate Republicans have signed on to a letter that urges President Trump to end the shutdown but continue negotiating for a border wall.
Senate Republicans start to give in

The letter, which is set to be released later today, has been drafted by a bipartisan group of senators. Up until this point, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has largely held his caucus together, despite facing overwhelming pressure to pass spending bills to reopen the government that have already been approved by the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives.

All lawmakers who refuse to secure the border and put an end to the socialist programs that support them are Communist/Socialist.  Illegal immigration isn't free.  It requires forcing Americans to pick up for the tabs.  Its a Socialist/Communist scam.  So any of the Republican who are so dependent on the welfare state are Socialist.  Illegal immigration could not exist without others paying for these "low wage" earners.

That Socialist Lindsey Graham wants Americans to shoulder the cost of amnesty.  To carry these illegal and their chain migration, birthright citizenship and benefits.  Of course as it is in any Communist/Socialist country it isn't the government that shoulders this burden the cost is absorbed by the people.

Dear President Trump,
We write to you as a bipartisan group of Senators
committed to resolving our current budget
stalemate by strengthening border security and
ending the partial government shutdown.
As you know, on January 6, your Acting Director of
the Office of Management and Budget, Russell
Vought, submitted an appropriation request for
addressing the humanitarian and security
challenges at our nation’s southern border. We
believe that such requests deserve consideration,
through regular order, a process we support. We
respectfully request that you join us in supporting a
short-term Continuing Resolution (CR) of three
weeks to give Congress time to develop and vote
on a bipartisan agreement that addresses your
request. We commit to working to advance
legislation that can pass the Senate with
substantial bipartisan support.
During those three weeks, we will make our best
efforts following regular order in the appropriate
committees and mark up bipartisan legislation
relating to your request. This would include
debating and voting on investments on the
Southern border that are necessary, effective, and
appropriate to accomplish that goal.
Sincerely,
I am just a Technicolor Dream Cat riding this kaleidoscope of life.

Which we know does not include a wall.  As soon as Trump agrees to this it is over.  The president is right.  Drones do not stop illegal immigrants.  By the time it is acknowledge they are already on American soil.  Graham is also on record in the last few months pushing his amnesty deal which he say "keep it simple".  Simply meaning that he wants to leave chain migration in tact.  He wants to keep all the benefits and birthright citizenship.  What job allows you to bring your whole family with you and provides benefits for all of them too?

Its a no Lindsey.

UPDATE – The letter has been released. Here are some of the Republicans who are turning on Trump and are collaborating with Democrats to end the shutdown without securing the border wall: “Susan Collins of Maine, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Lamar Alexander of Tennessee and Rob Portman of Ohio.”

The final list of signers hasn’t been released yet.

Exactly. Primarily because today the R and D labels are just a patina, a sales hook to give voters a sense that they matter in the scheme of government. But, the contests they stage every two years are just the bread and circuses of politics. Donald Trump because he’s a unique character was a fluke that managed to get in under the radar.

The real concern here – where tyranny is actually implemented – is in the permanent bureaucracy, out of the reach of voters. I think Trump is trying to impact that. However, it would take generations of Trumps before the vote would ever mean something again.

You are right.  Why vote GOP if they aren't going to stand behind their own President or listen to the people?  Voting for them is no different than if we had voted for a DEM; same result.

Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
