Germany steps up monitoring of far-right AfD party

    15 January 2019

Germany's domestic intelligence agency is to step up monitoring of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party for suspected extremism.

But the BfV agency is not yet going as far as to use informants or phone taps in its nationwide watch on AfD.

AfD is the main opposition party. It entered the federal parliament for the first time in 2017, winning 94 seats in the 709-seat lower house (Bundestag).

Yabbut, are they monitoring the 'migrants'?

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Once again, the media mis-characterizes any European attempts at protecting its identity as "extreme" right.

The AfD is concerned about Islamic immigration and how it is destroying German culture, opposed the bailout of Greece, is opposed to gay marriage and supports the privatization of state-owned corporations. They are skeptical of the EU.

Its ties to (socialist) neo-Nazis is tenuous and largely incorrect. Presumably (without evidence), a magazine that German neo-Nazis support was handed out at one AfD meeting.

The AfD has been associated with the NFD. The AfD tends to be more scholarly, the NFD tends to be somewhat more youthful.

The irony is it is Hitler & his Nazi party who all these years later provide the reason for the international left to destroy their beloved German culture.
