Generally speaking, women are "pre-programmed" to be nurturers.  It they weren't the human race would have died out before it ever got started.  You can go against human nature, and there are many examples in history, but it usually doesn't turn out well. And, there will always be some exceptions.  Do we want to encourage the exceptions?
