What's the matter @The Ghost ?  Is this forum not big enough for your fantasy of a huge national monument to Trump's racism, and my fantasy of a human President?

Where else I'm I going to find the cutting edge presidential press release regurgitation of https://ilovemyfreedom.org and www.freedomboner.gun if I don't stop in here?

Thats fine but why always go & bore the snot out of everyone with your predictable grunts & clicks?

For years @Once-Ler was a normal poster – well, as normal as any right winger can be – until Donald Trump came along and seems to have upset his sense of balance about politics.

It’s hard for him to recognize a president not concerned with upsetting the status quo but rather with fixing long term problems and getting results – niceties be damned.

I dunno.....maybe from Trump?

Now, it just came out that they’re 73 percent down. ... That’s a tremendous achievement. ... Look at this, in 100 days, that down to the lowest in 17 years and it’s going lower. Now, people aren’t coming because they know they’re not going to get through, and there isn’t crime. You know the migration up to the border is horrible for women, you know that? (Unintelligible.) Now, much of that’s stopped because they can’t get through.

He was all set to take the credit in April 2017 for the drop, but not the blame for the increase since then? Makes sense.

Now you know (or you should)....  that back in April 2017, Trump had only been president officially for about two months.  I have no doubt that the stats on illegals had dropped at that time due to his rhetoric and promises to control illegal immigration and deport illegals.   However, you should also know that after that.... the radical leftists started the orchestrated caravans of immigrant invaders.  So blaming Trump for what he said then vs. now is just silly.

Well, that and the fact that the numbers were down for a while.

Perhaps... but only because the segment of illegals that really were only interested in American jobs didn't come during the Obamanation due to the LACK of American jobs back then.  With the improved economy, that changed (obviously).  Ironic that the downside to the improved job market is renewed influx of illegals.

Who gets fooled by this?  The wall is a joke.

Then, you’ll find this amusing.....

A photo shows that the steel columns were breached with a common industrial tool.

"I know you're not into the construction business," Trump told her. "You don't understand something. We now have a great steel business that’s rebuilt in the United States. Steel is stronger than concrete. If I build this wall, or fence, or anything that Democrats need to call it... because I’m not into names, I’m into production, I’m into something that works.”

Sorry...

I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

And as we already know (or assume...lol)... the illegals coming will be bringing their tree-trimming equipment with them.   *****rollingeyes*****

I heard that are holding steel cutting contests to see who can cut through the steel slats the quickest.
"I believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes. Smugglers and cartel groups will certainly have industrial tools.

So when we catch those smugglers and cartel groups sawing the wall.... can we incarcerate and then force them to re-install a new piece of wall to repair the damage they did?   I'm pretty sure we'll have drones operated by border agents, monitoring that wall.  Or am I just dreaming.....

Really?  I haven't been here long enough to have seen the rational @Once-Ler   And I don't read the posts of the irrational one.  Why bother?  Totally predictable.

No, not really.  We certainly have the technology to support the wall with drones or whatever is needed.

Indeed.  Unless people themselves have gone to the border or have seen pictures on both sides of the border, they don't realize what is going on.  I was awakened years ago. The 'rape' trees along the border to get here are real. That's why, I believe the President should have gone in with a film crew at the border and then come back with video and made his case for a border wall.  Coyotes make just as much, if not more money money smuggling people in then some of the cartel make bringing in drugs.

Yeah, we have the technology.  Question is....

will we be allowed to use it.

I didn’t mean to suggest we agreed all the time, or that @Once-Ler didn’t use the same sardonic wit in his postings. It’s just back then he didn’t have this burr under his saddle like with Trump (blessed be his name happy77 ) as a constant irritant. He’s gotten quite mean lately over that.

Sure, but it is relatively easy for them to occupy our high tech and expensive assets occupied, with a couple of guys running around the desert, in an old junker, while they breach elsewhere. The point is, this barrier is not the panacea Trump is claiming it will be.

Of course we have the technology, but drones without a wall and increased manpower are futile.  The drones can certainly spot those coming across, but how long do you think its going to take 'manpower' to get there??  Keep in mind that the southern border is appx. 1,954 miles long and there are only appx.16,000 border agents.

A wall alone isn't going to stop illegal immigration, but a barrier is definitely needed to aid and assist technology and manpower.

Nothing is 100% or perfect, especially not in 'this' world and reality we find ourselves in.   But look at it this way.  I'd rather them spend the money on increased border control and building a wall to keep invaders out... than use it for more failed and failing "freebie" welfare schemes for those same illegals.

Surely (Shirley?)....
you can't argue with that.

I can, because I always thought the better option was having a stable country that people didn’t want to flee, as a neighbor.

Well... yeah... but .... the leftists that had any say-so in government gave (us) up on that option way back in the 40s-60s... about the same time that they managed to demonize "McCarthism" (ie...commiephobia).   What has happened in those countries (Nicaragua, for instance) is the expected result of such leftist policies.  Same for Venezuela.  Which plays right into the leftist agenda (shock)... of inundating America with illegals that will (eventually) be able to vote Democrat.

Canada is decidedly more left than us, but they manage not to cause us problems. There are enough people in Central American countries that really do want something better to make a difference, if they really wanted it. We fought a Revolution and Civil War to attain it. They may need to, as well.

They may have already studied history... and decided that it's no use.   The leftists (commies) in this country have always swooped in to help the leftist side of every nation... while demonizing us for daring to help the non-commie side.  It is what it is.  And unless that changes.... and I don't see it happening... they will have no chance.

It is impossible for me to recognize Trump as effective.  When the wall gets built, I'll come back and apologize to the border patriots who thought they would get a wall.  Until then I'll consider those people as deluded, even if pointing out the truth seems obnoxious.

@aligncare @skeeter @Sanguine @Emjay thanx for your personal comments about my posts.  I suggest you turn that critical eye towards President Veruca Salt.
