Media pretend there's no longer a border crisis after a year of reporting on it

Remember when just two Guatemalan children died after their fathers dragged them 2,000 miles to the U.S. border? Remember when U.S. border agents fired tear gas after a caravan of migrants attempted to overwhelm them and cross illegally into the country?

The news media, previously in shock at the border activity, are suddenly unable to see a single problem with illegal aliens flooding into the country, draining taxpayer resources as our agents try acting as both law enforcement and caretakers for Latin America.

Ahead of President Trump’s prime-time address Tuesday night on immigration, it’s as if the past year of border chaos didn’t happen at all.

On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Washington Post columnist Karen Tumulty said Tuesday, “We are headed to this extraordinary situation where the president declares a state of emergency, which does not exist, and the law does not really explain what we do if the president manufactures an emergency.”
