Mueller’s theory: Trump defrauded voters

“Prosecutors’ Narrative Is Clear: Trump Defrauded Voters.” So declares the first part of the headline of a New York Times article by Peter Baker and Nicholas Fandos. The rest of the headline asks “But What Does It Mean?”

Good question. It may mean that the prosecutors haven’t found a crime, but are still pissed off that Trump won the election.

I find odd the notion that Trump defrauded voters. No candidate in my lifetime ever painted a clearer, more vivid picture of himself for voters. For better or for worse, we knew what we were getting (and no, it wasn’t a Putin stooge).

Indeed, it’s difficult for me to treat Mueller’s theory seriously. I hope readers will forgive the (at times) flippant nature of what follows.

The jails aren't the problem, legal system honesty is.  They won't hesitate to go after Trump but thought Madam Clinton, Obama, and Bile Clinton were pure as the driven snow?  Congress will do anything they can to keep voters' knowledge of just how corrupt they are a secret.

Voters have been exposed to anti-Trump bile for almost two years now,  and the midterms were not exactly a repudiation of the prosperity and chaos we've given ourselves.    We're basically doubling down on it - give Trump a Senate for judges and jobs and give Demedia  the House so they can keep poking at the bear.

I've been thinking back this week at GHW Bush and this greatest achievement,  bringing about the peaceful resolution of the Soviet Union's collapse.   He very deliberately gave the old regime the means to stand down without losing face,   and eschewed triumphalism.    The idea was to prevent the breakout of chaos in a nation that possessed nuclear arms.

It is dangerous to poke a bear,  especially a wounded one.    The Dems who professed to honor President Bush this week dishonor him by their actions to destabilize this nation and deny the legitimacy of the result of a free and fair election.

They just can't understand that voters knew Trump and hired him both in spite of and because of who the man is.  Lost in all the swamp mud slinging and wet dreams is the fact we knew what we were buying and we're not disappointed.

This seems to be the most difficult thing for so many to grasp.
