Commander in Sadr’s militia assassinated: reportBy Rudaw ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – A commander in the militia of Muqtada al-Sadr has been assassinated north of Baghdad, Iraqi media has reported. Hussein Hijami, a commander in Sadr’s Saraya al-Salam (Peace Brigades) militia, was shot by unknown gunmen in the al-Shuala area on the northern edge of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad Today reported.
