Students at every grade need to learn climate science, expert says

November 30, 2018 by Talia Ogliore, Washington University in St. Louis

The National Climate Assessment, released the day after Thanksgiving, offers motivation and opportunity to bring climate topics into the classroom at every grade level.

Even the youngest students are ready to learn about climate science, according to Michael Wysession, professor of Earth and Planetary Sciences in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis and executive director of the Teaching Center.

Wysession, who has co-authored more than 30 textbooks, helped write a position statement on teaching climate science adopted by the board of directors of the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) in September 2018. The NSTA has a membership of more than 50,000 teachers and other educators at the K-12 grade levels.

Most likely that’s what he really means.  The phrase “climate science” is simply left-wing code for political indoctrination, the same way that “affordable housing” isn’t about reasonably priced apartments, but about politically allocated subsidized living quarters.

Climate has changed all through time.     There's no denying that.

But man has nothing to do with it.

What happened is somehow somebody got the idea that since Climate has changed since the advent of the Industrial Revolution, that if they could somehow link the two, they'd have the perfect vehicle to enhance their power by controlling all commerce.

That's what it's all about.

I am ALL IN for real science.

--Man could indeed, have an impact on climate. Not yet proved, however.

--Meteorites have probably changed earth, climate, habitation in huge ways.

--Sunspot activity has probably impacted climate, habitation, hugely.

In all cases, REAL SCIENCE, would include economics, technology changes, etc.

Have you heard about the meteorite in Yucatan: In Russia?

Have you heard about how previous cold periods (Ice Ages) ended?

In other words, people aren't doing what they want them to so they must further instill fear to motivate them to get the "correct" outcome.

Many young people are already sure the world is being destroyed and there is no future. It is these idiots that drive this hysteria.

In all likelihood things are going to get cooler in the coming decades. The sun appears to be going into a very quiet mode that could last a long time. The last time it did so, the Maunder Minimum, there was mass starvation and illness. The Plague was among them.
