New House Democrat Majority To Make $15 Minimum Wage A Priority

November 15, 2018| by Donn Marten

The incoming Democrat House majority may be ready to unleash a flurry of investigations against President Trump and other members of his administration but they will also be carving out plenty of time for those socialist pet projects that have long been near and dear to their hearts.

Like the $15 an hour minimum wage which has now made the transition from being a rallying cry brayed by an aging socialist crank and a fake Indian to national lawmakers. There will be no limits of promises of free stuff that no Democrat will fess up who pays for it that will appeal to worthless, whiny young brat voters who will comprise a large portion of the party base in 2020.

In comparison:
CPI Inflation Calculator
 $ 1.30 in  1966 (drugstore/fountain waitress)
has the same buying power as
$10.34 in  2018

People who have never run a business, successfully, have no business telling successful business people how much to pay their employees. They won't have to be there to explain why people were laid off, why the remaining employees now have to do not only what they did before but also that of the laid off employee, they won't have to listen to customers complain about the higher prices and poor service. And what about all the people that don't get that magic matching increase of income that the unskilled entry level position employee will get, what about the senior citizens that won't ? Who gives a shit about all the other people whose buying power is reduced because prices will have to increase to compensate for higher prices.............right?

People with few skills simply won't be able to get a job in order to develop skills. Businesses aren't charities.

Businesses aren't charities?

Don't be so sure. I retired from an electric utility. We were directed
to resolve all sorts of social matters. Like turning on service for
unpaid accounts.

Looks like it worked so well with us, that Wendy's, McDonalds's and
your local startup restaurants will be forced into service. Auto Zone
would be a good pickup as well as hotels/motels.

There is no limit to the imagination when others peoples money and
property are involved.

The government should never be allowed to make any rules for private business.

Free markets and competition sort everything out eventually.

And besides, successful businesses are usually run by smart people.

The government ... not so much.
Against stupidity, the Gods themselves contend in vain.
