Mueller may receive written answers from Trump this week

President Trump may submit written answers to questions as soon as this week for special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation.
Trump is readying responses to questions about Russian meddling in the 2016 election — including questions about the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting between Donald Trump Jr., Trump campaign officials, and Kremlin-tied lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya.
The questions do not touch on whether he obstructed justice after he fired former FBI Director James Comey, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters. It’s uncertain whether obstruction will be an issue addressed in the future.
Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani said in an interview with Reuters last month that Trump was open to providing answers on issues related to Russian interference, but that obstruction of justice questions were off-limits.
Giuliani and a spokesperson for Mueller declined to comment to Reuters, and Trump attorney Jay Sekulow did not respond to multiple requests for comment from the Washington Examiner.
Meanwhile, it’s also unclear whether Trump will sit down for an interview with Mueller, according to Reuters.
Mueller is investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election and whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Kremlin.
