First lady Melania Trump, in a remarkable move carried out by her spokeswoman, publicly pushed for the ouster of deputy national security adviser Mira Ricardel.

"It is the position of the Office of the First Lady that (Ricardel) no longer deserves the honor of serving in this White House," the first lady's communications director Stephanie Grisham said in a statement on Tuesday.

The statement amounted to a stunning public rebuke by a first lady of a senior official serving in her husband's administration. It came after reports surfaced earlier Tuesday indicating Ricardel would be pushed out of her post after less than seven months on the job.

Neither Ricardel not spokespeople for the National Security Council responded to CNN requests for comment.

Her potential departure would leave national security adviser John Bolton without one of his key allies in the administration, a deputy who has also shared his penchant for bureaucratic infighting.  ... CNN

I'm delighted to see that Mira Ricardel (maiden name Mira Radielovic, aka Mira Baratta) is being unceremoniously thrown out on her ass by our lovely First Lady. That just makes my day and brings a smile to my face. I confess that I'm guilty of Schadenfreude, but it's hard not to find joy in her misfortune.

Here is how my friend J______ once described this detestable woman:

Yeah... I know.  I was addressing the issue of Melania wanting her to be fired and "why".  Being a government employee, I would think that the reasons would need to be a bit more egregious than what's been given as a reason thus far.  Supposedly she did something related to Melania's trip in Africa... but nothing specific has been conveyed.  Dunno.  There has to be more to this than what we're hearing about.

In FACT,that is nothing but a rumor that might be disinformation,and she is getting fired for other reasons. Or not fired at all. ALL we have on this is "somebody who will remain anomonous has a second cousin that plays cards with a janitor that works in the same building,and sometimes sees these people passing in the hallway,CLAIMS........."

While it is clear that SOMEONE has a political agenda,it is far from clear that their agenda is in any way actually related to what is happening. Or not happening,as the case may be.
