Former Republican Arizona AG Grant Woods is now a registered Democrat

PHOENIX — Former Arizona Attorney General Grant Woods, who held office for eight years as a Republican, told KTAR News 92.3 FM Think Tank that he has officially re-registered as a Democrat.

Woods has expressed frustration with President Donald Trump and the Republican party, calling their rhetoric divisive.

He endorsed two Democratic candidates in this year’s midterm elections — Senate candidate Kyrsten Sinema and Congressional District 8 candidate Dr. Hiral Tipirneni — as well as Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election.
