NC judge's son accused of burning cross, threatening synagogue
By Ron Gallagher and Josh Shaffer, The News & Observer (Raleigh, N.C.)

CARY, N.C. - The 20-year-old son of a North Carolina Court of Appeals judge threatened to damage a synagogue Saturday night and burned a cross in a town park last month, according to Cary police.

William Josephus Warden of Cary was arrested about 11 p.m. Saturday at the apartment complex where he lives on Preston Grove Avenue. He is the son of Judge Lucy Inman, who said in a statement that the arrest can be attributed to long-standing mental illness for which her son has sought treatment.

"Our observations and our communications with law enforcement lead us to believe that our son has been exploited by people whose agenda is completely opposed to the inclusive values we espouse and live," said the statement from Elliot Abrams, a Raleigh attorney who represents the family.  ...

Warden mused publicly about religion and race on social media but veered toward anti-Semitism in the last few weeks, including updating his online biography with a quote from Robert Jay Matthews, a neo-Nazi killed in a 1984 shootout with federal authorities: "Stand up like men! and reclaim our soil."

Inman, an appellate court judge since 2014 and a Wake County Superior Court judge before that, is not up for re-election until 2022.  ...
Rest of story

The newspaper didn't report the party affiliation, but Howie Carr did.

NC judge's son accused of burning cross, threatening synagogue http://a.msn.com/01/en-us/BBPnUio?ocid=st … THE JUDGE, NOT ID'ED BY PARTY, JUST HAPPENS TO BE A DEMOKKKRAT... WONDER WHERE HER SON LEARNED TO BURN CROSSES?
I have decided to officially and formally not apologize. I'm not sorry at all, even slightly.

Indeed, I especially want to convey my absence of remorse to anyone who was offended by what I said. If you are the sort of person who gets twisted into knots when someone articulates a point of view that differs from your own, then you are exactly the sort of person who should never receive an apology for a differing point of view — if I were offering one, which, again, I'm not.

I'm not sure if judges always run under their party but it is good to know her party affiliation.

This Neo-Nazi Jailed For Threatening Jews Is On The Left, So You’ll Never Hear About Him
The recent case of a ‘Democrat judge’s son-turned-neo-Nazi terrorist’ illustrates that bigotry has no special home in either party.

North Carolina’s Research Triangle region is earning the distinction of being an all-inclusive destination for those who hail from anti-Semitism cliques that run the gamut from religious to cosmopolitan to political to ethnoracial. Their tactics of intimidation against the area’s Jewish community are equally varied.

This year’s highlights include: Nazi propaganda flyers posted in Durham and in Cary, swastikas painted on walls in high school bathrooms, downtown street-art exhibitions celebrating terrorists who murder Jews, and a local imam taking to YouTube to exhort his followers to “fight the Jews.” On the campus of Duke University, acts of intimidation against Jewish students have become so brazen, so habitual, that its president just issued an all-hands-on-deck plea to local officials for help to “confront the scourge of anti-Semitism.”  ...

Warden’s parents told the media that their son has “long-standing mental health issues.” Maybe that’s true. But the 20-year-old has no anti-Semitic history and began activating his newfound hatred recently.

Anti-Israel rhetoric absorbed from his parents’ political circle could have contributed to Warden’s hate. The true agenda of the BDS movement—to end Israel’s very existence—is anti-Semitic at its core. But there is a sad reality that few want to admit: The theory that you can be anti-Israel without being anti-Jewish is nothing but a myth. In truth, they are inseparable. Wherever anti-Israel activity takes place, anti-Semitism is pushing the agenda.

What has happened here in the Triangle should serve as a cautionary tale for the rest of the country in an era of anti-Israel and pro-BDS politicians who embrace anti-Semites.   ... More at The Federalist

Why isn't this the headline across America?   22222frying pan

A story about a Jew hating Democrat above the fold and top news on the nightly news?

"You don’t hand matches to an arsonist, and you don’t give power to an angry left-wing mob. Democrats have become too EXTREME and TOO DANGEROUS to govern. Republicans believe in the rule of law - not the rule of the mob. VOTE REPUBLICAN!"
