White House chief of staff John Kelly and national security adviser John Bolton got into a heated, profanity-laced shouting match outside the Oval Office on Thursday, according to multiple reports

CNN reported that the two men clashed over immigration policy in the wake of a government report that found a record number of migrant families illegally crossed the U.S. border in September.

Bloomberg reported that the incident led some White House aides to wonder whether one of them might immediately resign in anger.

Neither individual is expected to resign, and President Trump is aware of the dispute, Bloomberg added.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

White House chief of staff John Kelly and White House national security adviser John Bolton hurled expletives at one another during a loud argument outside the Oval Office on Thursday.

The exchange between the two was so heated, White House aides were concerned that either Kelly or Bolton would depart their posts immediately, Bloomberg reports.

Sources told CNN the dispute began over a disagreement on how to handle the surge in border crossings. President Trump, who earlier in the day threatened to “close our southern border” as a Honduran caravan approaches, picked Bolton's side on the matter.

I'd like to know what was the source of their disagreement. I know Kelly was the motive force behind enforcing Obama's family separation policy and Bolton is kind of a Bush guy.

Bolton is a hawk.

Kelly should be too, but his #1 job is defense....OPTICS need to be good.  What are you going to do just before an important election?

Give the MSM ammunition to get minority voters riled up...be reinforcing the lie that 'Trump hates Immigrants seeking asylum'??
