Saudi Arabia’s ambassador leaves the US, not expected to return

Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the U.S. has left Washington and is not expected to return amid the controversial disappearance of a Saudi Washington Post columnist last seen entering the kingdom's consulate in Turkey.

Prince Khalid bin Salman returned to the Saudi capital of Riyadh last week, according to the New York Times Monday. Prince Khalid is the younger brother of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the Times said a current and former U.S. official said the ambassador is not expected to return to his post in the U.S.

The Saudi Embassy in Washington has also canceled its National Day celebration, slated for Oct. 18.

He's not much, if he has to scramble away.

Either way this does not bode well for gas prices in the short term.

Oil prices are down a little since Jamal Khashoggi went missing.

I'd kind of prefer for EVERY Saudi national to leave the United States.

If they won't go voluntarily -- expel 'em!

Who gives a rat' a@@ if this guy ever comes back?
