Yet another opportunity for the TDS-afflicted media to make itself look foolish.

Didn't Liz claim her NA ancestor was her grandmother? A strong possibility of 6-10 generations ago is not even close, Fauxcohontas. Using a private test where her identity is known is a howler.

I had <1% South Sea islander on my Ancestry test which has since been removed with the update. Ridiculous.
Principles matter. Words matter.

Well maybe Trump can donate 1/32 of the $1M..
More like 1/1024, or $976.56. He should donate it to some charity to benefit poor American Indians.

She should get zilch.

And like in my case ....   FTDNA shows <1% Native American for me.   Ancestry....none.  which is right?

Anecdotal family history has my 4 g grandfather (A white doctor) married to a Cherokee in GA, showing up in Northern Arkansas right at the time and location of the Trail of Tears March.  Still that is just family history, and it proves nothing,

He should use it as a scholarship for the poor guy who's place Warren took at Harvard Law School.

Man that would be a PR coup, if we could find the records of who got bumped.

This what bothers me the most.. This bleep took advantage of a program that was set aside for people who are truly disadvanaged.  I don't like set aside programs based on race and gender, but still.

Same here. My mother more than once recounted family lore that one of her ancestors married an Indian woman (would have been Shawnee in that part of the country). My ancestry.com DNA test turned up nothing of the sort - all European.

The GOP has two years now to research and find some Harvard Law School applicants who stated Native American Ancestry on their application, and were turned down.
Talk about some powerful campaign ads.

Just found out that the The Hill is preparing a reaction story on Tweets about Elizabeth Warren as a way to fight back for her. They’re going to look at everyone’s Tweets as opposed to Warren’s false claims. Why don’t people trust media again?

What percentage of blood is required for one to claim membership of a race? If we use Elizabeth Warren's standard of 'not ruling out' 1/1,024th - 10 generations ago... Maybe Donald Trump is actually a black man?

To make up for the dearth of Native American DNA, Bustamante used samples from Mexico, Peru, and Colombia to stand in for Native American. That’s because scientists believe that groups Americans refer to as Native American came to this land via the Bering Strait Elizabeth Warren

If Elizabeth Warren were in a tribe with a casino, they would kick her out with those DNA results.
Tribes purge their rolls all the time to get rid of pretenders.
Maybe she should be asked if she likes to eat tacos or guinea pig, then we'll know if she's Mexican or Peruvian.

It occurs to me that Lizzie's private, non-blind DNA test is about as meaningless as Christine Blasey Ford's privately contracted two-question polygraph exam.

Elizabeth Warren’s DNA Test Proves She Was Lying
Acting as if the results of the senator's DNA test are a vindication of her initial claims is an assault on reason.
By David Harsanyi
October 15, 2018

Why did Sen. Elizabeth Warren spend all these years claiming to be a Native American?

One plausible answer might be that her family had lied to her, or were also misled about their heritage, and that Warren truly believed she was Cherokee. This happens relatively often, I suppose. Then again, few people exhibit as much certitude, and gain as many benefits, over a claim that’s so obscure and unverifiable.

The second is that Warren herself lied or exaggerated her heritage, knowing full well that her contention of Cherokee ancestry was likely nothing more than lore, then latched on to this negligible ancestry to gain traction in an academic field that was searching for candidates of specific races.

We now know that the second option is more probable after the prospective presidential candidate decided to make a huge deal out of taking a DNA test, that, in reality, only proves she is as white as I am.  ...

As The Federalist’s Sean Davis points out, according to The New York Times, the average white person in America has nearly double the amount of American Indian DNA (0.18%) as Elizabeth Warren (0.098%), who claims to be Cherokee.  ...

  • I don't believe in Trump anymore, he's an illusion
This is deceptive in several ways. First, the term 'strong evidence' is shaky. This is the same as saying 'maybe, maybe not'. Also, saying that a person has genetic markers in common with Native American is dubious. Since Native Americans have a fairly wide spectrum of genetic markers in common with almost everyone.

Some Native Americans came from Mexico and South America. Some came from Asia. Some migrated from the Caribbean. I would bet that almost everyone who has been in America for a few generations has at least 'some' genetic markers in common with Native Americans. These results are political more than scientific. This is not a definitive result. She would get the same 'strong evidence' result if she was claiming to be a Jew, or a Mexican, or Chinese for that matter.

She has never had any tribal affiliation and as far as I know there is no documented evidence that anyone in her family has ever been affiliated with any known Native American tribe.

She must be a member of that unknown blond-hair, blue-eye, Native American tribe that nobody has ever seen or heard of. She is such a liar. And she keeps digging the hole deeper. Until she releases the full results to the public for analysis, then screw her (and the horse she rode in on). lol
I thought I read, or heard somewhere, that Native American tribes don't participate in these gene pool data bases so labs like the one that tested Warren add extra data from South and Central America and others.

Right. Warren and Ford are sisters, with much in common.

Blond hair. Blue eyes. Professors, doing lie detection and DNA samples, to prove their lies.

This from the same woman who wrote a cookbook entitled "Pow Wow Chow."  Or I should say, plagiarized the techniques word-for-word from a French chef.  Could she be any more of a joke?

I believe I read where Trump said he was willing to pay for her DNA test, AND if it showed she was
american indian, he would make that contribution.   Problem is of course, she paid for the test, so
the bet was off.   plain and simple.

Test on sale costs $50.  Send her a check, and use the data against her in 2020.

After getting on various forums with liberals, it is obvious they can't wrap their tiny minds around the fact that Warren is a complete fraud.
By any objective standards she is just another person of almost entirely European descent.

Boston Globe botches math in big Elizabeth Warren scoop on Native American ancestry

I think this has become a Wampum CF for Ms. Warren.

Actually, she contributed a recipe for crab dip (a Cherokee favorite!) to that cookbook, which supposedly was comprised of contributions from American Indians. Perhaps she should be known as pretendian, instead.

"For deeper family roots, these tests do not really tell you where your ancestors came from. They say where DNA like yours can be found on Earth today. By inference, we are to assume that significant proportions of our deep family came from those places. But to say that you are 20 percent Irish, 4 percent Native American or 12 percent Scandinavian is fun, trivial and has very little scientific meaning."
