The problem is not the ice floating on water, but the ice setting above the water on land, that will melt into the sea. The polar regions have significant ice on land.
That is not a statement supporting man-made global warming, but a fact of science. Our sea levels have gone up and down significantly over the eons as global temperature changes happened before modern man existed.
