The Latest: Judiciary aide confirms Thursday public hearing
« on: September 23, 2018, 05:51:00 pm »

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Latest on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford, who accuses him of sexually assaulting her decades ago (all times local):

1:40 p.m.

A spokesman for the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee is confirming that the committee will hold a public hearing Thursday on the sexual assault allegation that’s been made against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

That word comes from Taylor Foy, an aide to Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, soon after lawyers for Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford said in a statement that they were “committed to moving forward with an open hearing” on that day.

I will be amazed if she shows up.  I still think they'll try more delaying tactics.

They'll blame death threats for her not showing up.

Doubt she'll show. Four days to think up more excuses. I don't think she'll testify under oath.

I hope the judiciary committee remembers the defendant has the right to hear the charges against him .... so Ms. Ford testifies --under oath--first.

I have seen nothing that indicates that she will be placed 'Under Oath' and being a dem that is par for the course.

I'm so sick of this woman.  By the way, she was an extremely plain girl as a teenager.  There is a reason they only show that sunglasses picture.

Does anyone think she'll be on 60 Minutes tonight?  That would be an accommodating forum for her.

Funny thing that. Apparently she was in San Fran yesterday, Delaware today. Seems she's a Sammy Hagar fan.

Would that be a new cross-country world record?
