While Bareilly district in the west reported 24 casualties, the highest among affected areas, 23 succumbed to the ailment in adjoining Budaun district.Among the victims in Bareilly was 12-year-old Omkar, who was rushed to the district hospital two days ago with high fever. "His body was burning. I initially took him to the village doctor, but there was no improvement in his condition.
