SHOWDOWN: Pelosi and Schumer Send Letter Ordering Intel Agencies to Ignore Trump’s Declassification Order

The showdown has begun over release of information about FISA abuse by the Obama intel leaders and Democrats. A last minute attempt to delay the declassification is similar to the last minute delay of the Kavanaugh confirmation: “We’ve got a letter” syndrome is the tactic being used again by Democrats to stall the inevitable.

WAIT! WE’VE GOT A LETTER!
 

With the midterms coming up, these attempts to delay the president’s order will backfire. To be clear, the Democrats have no authority to do this.

The heads of the intel agencies do not report to Mr. Schumer or Mrs. Pelosi.

They report to and take instructions from Mr. Trump.

Take that letter and ... file it.

BY WHAT AUTHORITY?

Pwlosi and Schumer are not in the chain of command of executive branch agencies.

If they wish to affect the declassification of information, pass veto overriding legislation to that effect.

Or their best option: STFU. Really. Can anyone say "accessory after the fact" or Obstruction of Justice?

Chuckie can demand all he wants to...it won't change the fact that the Constitution along with a 1988 Supreme Court case says the President has the power to do what he's doing and the Congress can't interfere.
