McConnell: 'Pretty Obvious This Is All About Delaying the Process'

..and the Turtle speaks.  Yes, Mr. Speaker, blatantly obvious!

McConnell: 'Pretty Obvious This Is All About Delaying the Process'

........Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) told a news conference Tuesday that Judge Brett Kavanaugh's accuser "certainly does deserve a right to be heard," but at the same time, he called it "disturbing" that Democrats decided to withhold her accusation until the last minute.

Later, an attorney for the accuser, told CNN's Anderson Cooper her client "is prepared to cooperate with the committee" -- but not on Monday, and not until the FBI does a full investigation. "There shouldn't be a rush to a hearing," attorney Lisa Banks said.

And Christine Blasey Ford, through her attorneys, sent a letter to Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley on Tuesday, saying in part that "no sexual assault survivor should be subjected" to the ordeal of testifying on national television about such a "traumatic and harrowing incident."

The alleged incident happened some 36 years ago; no one else has corroborated the story;..............

Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

They, the Republicans, are trying to play it both ways. That's how stupid they think we are. The Pubs are saying on the one hand, "Yes of course we know it is deliberate nonsense to derail the nomination." However, this statement of 'revelation' is usually followed by, "But we have a duty to let the process play out." Even though 'letting the process play out' will effectively derail the nomination. It is circular reasoning.

The summation of this kind of logic is, "Yes we know what the Democrats are doing, and we intend to let them do it even though we already know what they are up to."
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists.

You are so fixated on negativity that you can't recognize a win when it's right there in front of your face.

Grassley and the GOP actually played this perfectly, and got the best result possible given Feinstein's dirty trick.  They demonstrated good faith by delaying the committee vote and offering a chance to tell her story under oath, in public or in private.  She has refused.  In the minds of most voters, they acted with reasonable fairness.

They also -- and this is the part you seem to be ignoring -- have refused her demand for an additional investigation, and will be proceeding with the committee vote in time to seat Kavanaugh for the beginning of the term.  Even Collins and Flake are on board with that.

This blew up in their faces, and Grassley/McConnell navigated this potential minefield as well as was possible given the lack of unity in the caucus.

Your analysis is spot on, but I'm so mad with this kind of crap I still wish the Pubs had said, " heck no we are voting the nominee out of committee now".

The problem is the propagandists for the Rats will never focus on how reasonable the Pubs were about an allegation from 36 years ago, which the accuser never mentioned until she had marriage counseling in 2012. People have been so dumbed down by the propagandists that a lot believe anita hill was credible. The same thing will happen here.

Relax @bilo   That won't happen this time.  I'm still bitter about Anita Hill myself, bust this ain't that.

This is blowing up in their faces big time and I agree with Maj that the Pubs played it this right.  If they had ignored her from the beginning the whining would have never stopped about the poor, abused woman.

Right now, she's pretty much a laughing stock.

This "victim" wants an FBI investigation.

Has nobody informed her that elections have "consequences" so the Lynch/Comey/McCabe/Strzok/Priestup/Page bunch are gone?

Apparently the call for an FBI investigation is a shout out to see if the deep state will respond in any way.

The ictim and her attorney might try "restored memories,," and claim the attack site was at the house ofRussians.Russians.Russians.Russians.Russians.

I understand she doesn't want her memories 'restored' and is busy scrubbing everything she's ever posted on social media.

That's another difference from the Anita Hill days.  We couldn't find old tweets from Anita saying how mad she was she couldn't get Clarence into the sack.
