Kavanaugh gets to clear his name.

"I wasn't at that party" is all he has to say.
Then he can pull out the dozens of letters from former girlfriends that stated he couldn't possibly do what he was accused of.
Then the GOP senators can delve into how this was just another democrat stall tactic.

After Monday, red state democrats will HAVE to confirm him.

I guess I'm in the minority.
I think Grassley handled this perfectly. And Trump seemed to follow his lead and toned down his usual twitter nonsense.

There were four RINOs that had to be placated (Flake, Murkowski, Collins and Corker).
His strategy has won them over. These four now understand that this was a stall tactic and will likely vote to confirm.

It remains to be seen if Grassley has affected how the squishy middle will vote in November, but he has certainly removed all doubt from any right-leaning voter to turn out in November.
