So another urinary contest between the capitalist & socialist fan clubs is about to begin. Hmm........
A reflection.
Around 8,500 BC Agriculture and Animal Domestication commenced in the Fertile Crescent.
As the centuries passed, one characteristic remained prominent in these cultures/societies,
namely the primacy of the spiritual as the anchor of the moral order of Man.
Then around 1750 AD, the Industrial Revolution was born, altering the previous characteristic
and hardly for the better.
Materialism emerged as the measure of achievement, namely how much stuff one has.
What is the conflict between capitalism and socialism about???
The primacy/non-primacy of the spiritual as the anchor of the moral order???
Why don't be silly; it's all about who has the best and most stuff.
For the Capitalist it's communal voluntarism while for the Socialist its collective non-voluntarism.
So what, as they're both talking about stuff/materialism and their ultimate objective is
direct and simple, namely POWER!!!
Anyone who truly believes that the very serious malaise that impacts our nation at its very core,
can/will be solved though economic betterment is well beyond delusional!!!
