Lawsuit Alleges Wisconsin College Violated Student’s First Amendment Rights

A newly filed lawsuit alleges a Wisconsin community college violated the First Amendment rights of one of its students when it prevented her from handing out religious-themed Valentine's Day cards earlier this year.
The suit, filed last week in federal court, was brought by the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty (WILL) on behalf of Polly Olsen, a paralegal studies student at North Eastern Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC).
