She already released a taped call to Trump after the firing.  Call starts out Trump tells her he heard on television she is thinking of leaving.  She says she was told they didn't want her there.  Trump tells her he didn't know anything about the firing, and he doesn't love that.

He also tells her he doesn't know what's going on and Kelly is in control.

The President didn't pull her from anywhere.  She begged the President-elect and promised with tears in her eyes she'd be an asset for the administration's outreach to blacks.  He gave her a chance.

Omarosa latched onto Trump from the minute she saw him.  She saw him as the path to somewhere on her road to relevancy.

When he was actually elected, she took advantage of her prior connections with him to get a job in the administration.  As you say, she literally begged for it.

Trump did not make a good decision on this and he certainly knows that now.  And he will learn from it.

No it was not relevant.  You dug back into a rumor from the primary.  Unless you have the 'tape' we don't know if Trump said that or not.  It was obviously hyperbole regarding the devotion of his followers and probably made by someone else and attributed to Trump.
