Do you think a vegetarian diet won’t provide enough protein to keep you fueled or that it means eating a super boring rotation of the same foods over and over? It’s quite the opposite! In addition to providing you with all the nutrients you need, a more plant-based diet can lead to many, many health benefits.

Eating vegetarian may help lower your risk for certain types of cancer, in addition to reducing your risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and osteoporosis, according to the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. And a study published in the June 2017 issue of the Journal of the American College of Nutrition found that going vegetarian may also help you lose weight and improve your metabolism.
