25-year-old reportedly in country illegally arrested at FBI CJIS gate

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A 25-year-old who reportedly told law enforcement he came to the United States illegally four years ago and is earning about $6,000 a month at his job was arrested on three misdemeanor charges after he allegedly handed cash to an officer at the FBI CJIS gate.

Efrain Ramirez Resendiz, who told Harrison Magistrate Tammy Marple he has apartments in Mississippi and West Virginia, was charged with obstruction, driving a vehicle without a valid operator’s license, and possessing a fictitious identification. ...

When the vehicle stopped at Grogg’s location, the defendant “attempted to hand this officer a ($20) bill,” the complaint alleges.

Grogg asked what the money was for; Resendiz tried to talk to the lawman, but doesn’t speak enough English for them to communicate, the complaint alleges. ...

“Mr. Ramirez admitted to coming into the United States illegally from Mexico approximately four years ago,” Grogg alleged. “He advised that he purchased the Texas ID card upon his entry into the United States.”  ...
Four years in the country, earning $6,000 per month -  and he still can't speak any English?!
