During the dispersal of the rioters, the police used stun and smoke grenades to control the clashes as police forces arrested a number of suspects.

 Dozens of Palestinian rioters and protesters barricaded themselves in the Al-Aqsa mosque on the temple mount despite orders from police forces to disperse from the premises on Friday afternoon, according to the Jerusalem Police Spokesperson.

16 Palestinian protesters were arrested in the Al-Aqsa mosque for ignoring the disperal orders from the Jerusalem district commander Yoram Halevy.

According to the Jerusalem Police Spokesperson, a total of 24 suspects were arrested in the aftermath of a violent riot on the the Temple Mount which began after Friday's main prayer service.
