A drained Dutch canal has unearthed a treasure trove of ancient items from sea shells dating back 120,000 years to broken mobile phones.
Archaeologists in the Dutch city of Amsterdam found almost 700,000 items left behind when the city's Amstel river was drained to make way for a new train line.
A comb from the 1500s, a set of crocodile teeth and an entire human thigh bone are among the things pulled from the river bed during a 15-year-long research project.
